The star, Iman Al-Assi, was a guest on the program “Ma’akum Mona El-Shazly” on Thursday evening on CBC.
Mona El-Shazly described Iman Al-Assi’s performance as “distinguished, eye-catching and beautiful” in the role of Dalal in the Jaafar El-Omda series, which was shown last Ramadan.
Iman Al-Assi rejects two roles in Jaafar Al-Omda
During the meeting, Iman Al-Assi revealed that she wanted to work with director Mohamed Sami, especially in the past years, and confirmed that he had offered her two roles other than that of Dalal.
She pointed out that she apologized for the two characters until she settled on Dalal’s character, and pointed out that Muhammad Ramadan was impressed by the strength of her refusal.
Iman also stated that she was worried about how the audience would treat her role, especially if Dalal was killed in the series.
Iman Al-Assi receives threatening messages
In the same context, Iman Al-Assi revealed the impact of her role in the series “Jaafar Al-Omda” on her audience, as she received angry messages and threats because of the role of “Dalal”, which she embodied in the series during the month of Ramadan.
--Al-Assi indicated that the director, Mohamed Sami, was credited with the success of her role in the series, as he presented her in a surprising way and assigned her a pivotal role in the work.
Al-Assi added that the role of “Dalal” was a challenge for her, as she was confined to the roles of the sweet girl and the hero’s lover, and this led to her disappearance from the limelight for a while.
With regard to receiving threatening messages, Al-Assi indicated that she began receiving these messages after showing episodes 19 and 20 of the series, but the matter was dealt with later due to the public’s awareness and understanding of the nature of acting, and she added that some people began to hesitate to approach her after that.
Leaking the daughter of Iman Al-Assi, the end of Jaafar Al-Omda
Iman Al-Assi said that she was subjected to several attempts to leak the end of Jaafar Al-Omda, and recounted a situation in which she was reading the last episode of the series, and she said: “One time I was reading Episode 30 and left it on the bed and slept. Of course she won’t do that.”
She added that some entered into bets on the end of the series, and she jokingly explained that some lured her with money to find out the end of the series, and pointed out that even when she was ill, the doctor asked her about the end.
