Today, Friday, the Israeli occupation army confirmed that 866 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel since the start of the military operation in the Strip.
Today, Friday morning, the Israeli Ministry of Defense published a statement on its official page on Twitter, in which it confirmed that the Islamic Jihad movement fired about 866 shells from the Gaza Strip towards the Israeli interior, of which about 163 fell inside the Strip itself.
The Israeli ministry stated that since the start of the Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip, known as “Shield and Arrow”, at dawn last Tuesday, until 7:00 am on Friday, about 866 rockets were fired into the Israeli interior.
The Ministry of Defense reported that one out of every five rockets fired by Islamic Jihad fell inside Gaza.
A short while ago, the Palestinian Ministry of Health issued updated statistics on the human losses resulting from the continuous Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip three days ago, confirming the killing of 30 citizens and the injury of dozens as a result of the continuous Israeli bombardment of the Strip.
The health statement stated, “30 citizens were killed, including 6 children and 3 women, and 93 citizens were injured, including 32 children and 17 women, as a result of the continuous Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip for three days.”
It is noteworthy that, earlier, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced the arrival of the body of a Palestinian citizen to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the central region of the Strip, after he was killed in an Israeli raid in the Nusseirat refugee camp for Palestinian refugees.
--Yesterday, Thursday, Egypt, Jordan, Germany and France called for an immediate and comprehensive cease-fire that would end the Israeli military operations in Gaza and stop the firing of rockets by the Palestinian factions towards Israel during the current round of escalation.
A joint statement of the four countries stated that “the foreign ministers of Egypt, France, Germany and Jordan met today in Berlin, within the framework of the Munich Group.”
During the meeting, the ministers expressed their deep concern about the escalation of violence, the deterioration of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and Israel, and the developments in and around Gaza, which caused civilian casualties.
And the Israeli occupation army announced, last Wednesday, that the Palestinian factions fired 469 rockets from the Gaza Strip, 333 of which crossed Israeli territory.
This comes in light of its continued bombardment of the Strip and the factions’ response with missile barrages, amid talk of efforts for a truce that have not yielded results so far.
