During the current period, the government seeks to appoint young people in government jobs, to manage and operate the giant projects that the state has implemented over the past years, and in addition to that, it has set a date for promoting all job grades.
Dr. Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance, confirmed that financial allocations amounting to 4.2 billion pounds have been included in the 2023-2024 general budget, related to new appointments of about 70,000. new post.
Hiring 30,000 teachers
Maait added, in his speech before the Parliament’s Budget Plan Committee, that among the new appointments are 30,000 teachers in the Ministry of Education, according to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to appoint 150,000 new teachers over a period of five years.
10 thousand new jobs
The Minister of Finance said that the assignment will be applied in accordance with the Medical Professions Law for about 30,000 in the Ministry of Health, whether for doctors, pharmacists, and other professions, in addition to 10,000 new jobs in other agencies in the country according to their actual needs, such as what happened previously with the appointment of 2,000 tax employees and 1,000 in customs.
wage increase
Maait announced an increase in all wages in the state’s new general budget for all job grades and the minimum budget in the fiscal year 202/23.
--The Minister of Finance stated that the allocations for increasing wages in the budget from 410 in the current fiscal year to 470 billion pounds in the draft new budget, and an increase of 300 new pounds last November, at a cost of 8 billion pounds for the budget.
annual increase
The Minister of Finance reviewed the details of the annual increase in the periodic bonus, at an annual cost of 10 billion pounds, and the additional incentive for job grades, which is not less than 1,000 pounds.
Maait also reviewed an increase in the minimum wage at an annual cost of 25 billion pounds, in addition to increases for faculty members and increases for teachers by 300 pounds per month, in addition to a quality incentive of 300 pounds at a cost of half a billion pounds.
The minister announced the evaluation of a draft law to the House of Representatives to raise the income tax exempt bracket and raise the exemption bracket limit, in response to MP Mervat Alexan’s question about implementing the president’s directive to raise the exemption bracket to 30,000 pounds.
