In addition to the presence of about 10,000 furnished stalls on the ground that include various types of commodities, with the presence of a thousand shops selling iron supplies, scrap and used tools.

Home furnishings, ready-made clothes, electrical appliances and foodstuffs, in addition to selling materials and exchanging used goods.
The market is divided in the form of close squares that facilitate its visitors to move between electrical goods, clothing, and furniture to furnishings and gifts, in a smooth manner through corridors that accommodate the crossing of vehicles and pedestrians.
This helps shoppers to reach the last point in the backyards, where old equipment and household utensils are sold.

The market, which is located in the Al-Mahjar neighborhood in the south of the city near the port of Jeddah, was given this name from a model in the form of a missile of the road leading to the popular market.

But in addition to its huge popularity in the Kingdom, the name of the huge market has become almost frequent in the news headlines at frequent intervals due to the fire incidents that it witnesses.
The last of these incidents occurred on Thursday evening, when a fire broke out in the missile market, which the Civil Defense Forces rushed to put out without causing any injuries.
On December 2, 2022, the Civil Defense put out a fire in commercial stores in the missile market in Jeddah.
The Civil Defense said on its Twitter account at the time: A civilian in Jeddah put out a fire in commercial stores in the missile market, which resulted in the death of a person – may God have mercy on him.
On July 19, 2020, the General Directorate of Civil Defense mourned the death of one of its members, Sergeant Muhammad Abdullah Al-Thaqafi, as a result of a fire accident that occurred in the missile market.
And with the recurrence of fire incidents inside the missile market, many citizens demanded the concerned authorities to study their causes.
In order to prevent its recurrence in the future, and to avoid human or material losses in the future, especially since it has become a destination for thousands every day.
