In the details of the news, Khaled Bayoumi wrote through his official account on the social networking site “Facebook” Zamalek will ascend to participate in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup if Al-Ahly is crowned in the African Champions League this season as the runner-up of the 2020 edition.
Bayoumi added: “In the event that a club wins the CAF Champions League title in two editions during the seasons from 2021 to 2024, the runner-up of the 2020 edition will participate in the 2025 Club World Cup, but after investigating the matter, it was found that the information circulating at the present time is incorrect.”
-And FIFA published an official statement on its website, confirming that the runner-up of the 2020 edition is not entitled to participate in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup under any item.
-FIFA added: “All the continental federations from which 4 clubs qualify, including the African Champions League champion, that complex is decided after winning the championship during the 4 seasons preceding the 2025 edition.”
And he concluded: “Al-Ahly, the champion of the 2021 edition, and Moroccan Wydad, the 2022 champion, implied participation in the World Cup, indicating that in the event that a club wins two or more copies in the four seasons before the 2025 edition, the identity of the qualified club will be determined according to its ranking in the continental classification.”
