And he addressed the departure of his player, Sergio Busquets, saying: “He made the decision at the right time. I think Busquets is the best pivot player I have played with, perhaps in the entire history of Barcelona, ​​and is also classified at the historical level. Busquets is the smartest player I have ever played with.”

And he added, “Everyone remembers our trio, me, him, and Iniesta. I hope Javi and Pedri follow in our footsteps, and the youth outperforms us.”

Regarding his replacement, he said: “When I plan to get a replacement for Busquets, I must look at the academy first. When we do not find this alternative in the academy, we will go outside it to see the available opportunities, but it must be close to its level at least.”

And he went back to confirming that Busquets “when he was not included in the lists of the Golden Ball, he saw this as unfair,” stressing that “this happens a lot in football.”

And he added about Busquets: “He was 10-10 in everything, in his professional behavior and in his performance on the field.”

Xavi also praised his two stars, Ousmane Dembele, who said he had recovered 100%, and Ter Stegen, who is presenting a great season from his point of view.
