The organizers of the Russian “Rutube” platform dedicated to watching videos announced that programmers were able to address all electronic attacks that the platform was subjected to on May 9, according to RT.
On the subject, the technical director of the platform, Rostislav Chernakov, said: “On the ninth of May, the Russian Rutube service was subjected to violent hacking attacks, including DDoS attacks. All these attacks were successfully addressed, and the attacks did not affect the platform’s activity in any way, and the platform’s activity was not interrupted.” .
--He added, “Many attacks appeared on the platform, including DDoS attacks, but they were dealt with directly, without affecting the functionality of the site and without any effects on users.”
The Rutube platform was exposed on May 9 last year to the fiercest DDoS attack in its history, and the platform’s work was affected for more than two days, but the attackers failed to penetrate the platform’s data, and the attacks were dealt with and the platform restored its work normally.
Today, Rutube is considered among the most important platforms providing video viewing services, and a major competitor to YouTube.
