The regional director of civil protection in Kasserine, Brigadier General Youssef Al-Afi, confirmed that the efforts of the civil protection units in the region are continuing to find a woman who was swept away yesterday evening, Thursday, by the torrents of Wadi Ksiba, in the “Faj Terbeh” area of the delegation of Jadlian in the governorate of Kasserine.
Al-Afi explained that all material and human capabilities were harnessed to search for the 55-year-old woman, highlighting that she was in the process of grazing her cows and when it rained, she tried to cross the valley after the cows managed to cross it safely, but the floods swept her away due to the high water level of the valley, according to Al-Afi. This is confirmed by his number of missing family.
For his part, Mutamed Jadlian, Mahrez Al-Tahri, confirmed that the flooding of the “Kassiba” valley, which links the wilayas of Kef, Siliana and Kasserine, caused a woman from the area to be swept away when she was grazing her herd of cows (4 cows). From Sbeitla and Tala, they recruited to search for the missing.
--He pointed out that coordination is currently underway with the local authorities in the delegation of Rouhiya of the wilaya of Siliana, adjacent to the delegation of Jadlian, to assist in the search process, given that the valley passes through it.
It is noteworthy that the regional committee for confronting natural disasters and organizing help in Kasserine is in permanent session in anticipation of any emergency.
