The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation launched a campaign to remove encroachments on the waterways in Beni Suef Governorate, in coordination with the security forces and the local unit in Al Wasta.

Overcrowding in banks, continuing to count and remove infringements on banks, issuing reports of violations and removal decisions for infringements on banks, and following up on non-recurrence of infringement and removing infringement in its infancy.
It is worth noting that the Drainage Authority is implementing several projects in the field of expanding, deepening and maintaining open drains, implementing and maintaining covered drainage networks, and implementing many industrial works on waterways, in order to achieve optimal management of the agricultural drainage system in Egypt.
