The Civil Protection Forces in Minya Governorate managed to put out two fires, the first in a grill restaurant in the Abu Hilal neighborhood in Minya, and the second in a grocery store in the city of Mallawi, south of the governorate, without causing any injuries or casualties in the two fires.
Major General Osama Abdel-Azim, Assistant Minister of Interior for Security in Minya Governorate, had received a notification from the Police Rescue Operations Room, that a fire had broken out inside Malak “K.S.” grocery store on Abbas Al-Akkad Street in the city of Mallawi.
With the transfer of the security services and civil protection forces, the fire was extinguished and controlled, and it was prevented from spreading to the neighboring shops, without human injuries, while the material losses were limited to the damage and burning of some of the contents of the grocery store.-
Preliminary investigations of the forensic investigation suggested that the fire occurred due to an electrical short circuit, and the criminal investigation was notified to investigate evidence.
The security services also received a report of a fire at Malak Grills Restaurant “M.H” on Al-Hurriya Street in the Abu Hilal neighborhood in the south of the city of Minya, and the Civil Protection Forces were able to put it out and control it, before it spread, without human injuries, while the fire resulted in the burning of the restaurant’s sign. Preliminary investigations show that the fire broke out due to a lit cigarette butt. The place of the fire was seized, and the Public Prosecution office was notified to act and investigate.
