Dr. Nevin Al-Qabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, announced that the Directorate of Social Solidarity in the New Valley Governorate has completed the disbursement of all compensations to the families of the victims of the collision of a passenger bus and a transport truck on the “Kharga-Assiut” road, which resulted in the death of 18 passengers and the injury of 29 others.
-The Minister of Solidarity confirmed that the prescribed compensation, amounting to 100,000 pounds, was paid to each family of the deceased.
-The Minister of Social Solidarity had instructed the director of the Social Solidarity Directorate in the New Valley to quickly deal with the repercussions of the accident to help the families, as the Relief Committee of the Directorate of Social Solidarity in the governorate immediately moved to the site of the accident to inspect it, count the loss of life and help the families.
The Public Institution for Social Solidarity affiliated with the Ministry of Solidarity in the New Valley had disbursed an urgent aid of 10,000 pounds to the family of each deceased person after the accident. All the victims are from the New Valley governorate, with the exception of a young veterinarian from Cairo governorate, and most of the victims are men, with a total of 13 men, two women and three children.
