Under the title “Poet of Birds and Water”, “Al-Safir High School – Al-Ghazieh” honored the late poet Muhammad Ali Shams Al-Din with a celebration held in the school’s celebration hall, in which the writer and critic Dr.
The ceremony began with the Lebanese national anthem and the anthem of “Al-Safir High School”, presented by its director, Dr. Sultan Nasser Al-Din.
He said: In our honorary celebration today, the poet Muhammad Ali Shams al-Din honors us, and by honoring us we feel happy, we rise and rise to Alien .. The beloved friend Muhammad Ali Shams al-Din is honored and honored in Al-Safir High School, so you are welcome in the high school and in the wide heart .. the heart of Muhammad Ali Shams al-Din .
After showing a video about the celebrated person under the title “Poet of Birds and Water”, a graduate of the “As-Safir” poet Hassan Ali Khazim recited a poem entitled Shams Al-Mada dedicated to the memory of the late.
Then Dr. Abd al-Majid Zaraket gave a speech in which he pointed out that the poetry of Muhammad Ali Shams al-Din knew 3 phases: the first is its poetic language, tense, raging, and toothy, like the fangs of a shark, and the second is its language that reveals reality from the perspective of deep and calm meditation on the bitterness of life and the issues of existence, and the third is its language, the language of spiritual turns and visions. Mystical mysticism and the attempt to answer the questions of existence, while confirming the existence of an overlap between these stages, which makes Muhammad Ali Shams al-Din a poet of feeling with the worries and bitterness of daily life.
-After showing a video titled “Words of Gold” that included a speech by the late poet Shams El-Din at the opening of the book fair at Al-Safir High School on January 30, 2019, Dr. Daoud Muhanna spoke and said: Muhammad Ali Shams El-Din is the poet of permanent presence, the poet of amazement, condensation and the suggestion of a new meaning.
-Then a video was shown for the song – the poem “Quim Meditation”, produced by Al-Safir High School, written by the poet Muhammad Ali Shams Al-Din, composed by Mr. Ahmed Nasser, and performed by the student Haneen Shams Al-Din.
After that, the daughter of the late poet, the poet Rabab Muhammad Ali Shams al-Din, recited an influential poem.
After that, souvenirs were presented from the high school, consisting of verses from the poetry of the late Shams al-Din, to each of his wife, Mrs. Khadija, and his daughter, the poet Rabab, Dr. Zaraket, Dr. Muhanna, and the poet Khazim, in addition to a speech dedicated by Dr. Mikhael Masoud, who participated in this meeting for Zaraqat, Muhanna, and Shams al-Din .
At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Daoud Muhanna signed his book “Reality and its Poetry in the Poetry of Muhammad Ali Shams Al-Din” at the book fair in the high school.
