Today, Saturday, the courts are witnessing many important trials that have occupied public opinion and the Egyptian street during the past period, and perhaps the most prominent of these cases is the trial of those accused of the detention and torture of a Helwan pharmacist to death, and the trial of the head of the housing area in Abdeen and others on charges of bribery.

The South Cairo Criminal Court, sitting in the Fifth Settlement, is considering the trial of those accused of the incident of detaining and torturing the victim, Walaa Saeed, to force him to divorce his second wife, which led to his falling from the balcony of his house and his death.

The Public Prosecutor, Counselor Hamada Al-Sawy, had referred the seven defendants, who are in pretrial detention, to a criminal trial before the Criminal Court, at the conclusion of the investigations that the Public Prosecution conducted.

The prosecution charged the seven defendants with committing crimes of displaying force and threatening them with violence (bullying) and using it against the victim, Walaa Saeed Mustafa Zayed (a pharmacist residing in Helwan), with the intent to intimidate, intimidate and harm him, and influence his will to impose power on him and force him to divorce his second wife.

Investigations showed that 6 of the defendants stormed the residence of the victim’s pharmacist, at the behest of his first wife, who is the first defendant in the case, Rama Hamdi Abdel-Ati Rashwan (a pharmacist).

The accusations also included that the defendants detained the victim and tortured him by documenting him, as they beat him with hands and wooden sticks, causing several injuries.

The list of evidence included testimonies given by 6 witnesses, who are the neighbors of the victim, his second wife, and his sister, who sent them via the application (WhatsApp) a distress message asking him to help him, in addition to their hearing the sounds of quarrels inside the apartment of the victim, in addition to the testimony of the forensic doctor who conducted By signing a medical examination on the body of the deceased pharmacist, as well as the testimony of the Chief of Investigation of the Helwan Police Department, whose investigations confirmed the occurrence of the assault incidents as mentioned.
The evidence against the defendants included the confessions made by 6 of them to commit assaults against the victim, by tying his hands and assaulting him, in addition to what was proven from seeing some phone text messages in which the victim was seeking help from some witnesses to help him from the assault of the accused, as well as what It was found from letters between two of the accused, which included the readiness of one of them to support the other against the victim.

– The trial of the head of the housing district in Abdeen and others on charges of bribery

The Cairo Criminal Court is considering the trial of the head of the housing district in Abdeen district, the secretary of Abdeen district, and an employee of the Roads Department in Abdeen district in bribery.

The Central Cairo Public Prosecution had ordered the referral of the head of the housing area in Abdeen district and two others to trial on charges of bribery, after interrogating them and confronting him with the recordings of the incident, presenting them to experts, and verifying their authenticity.

The Administrative Control Authority received a communication from a real estate owner accusing the director of the Al-Iskan neighborhood in Abdeen neighborhood of requesting a financial bribe in order to allow him to build without issuing minutes, and not informing the district of these violations in order to stop them, so the administrative control asked the author of the communication to accompany the accused until he was arrested, and the investigations added that The administrative control recorded all the contacts of the accused, in addition to filming him while he was receiving a bribe.

– The lawsuit of the artist, Zina, for housing and custody wages, against Ahmed Ezz

The Nasr City Family Court is considering a lawsuit for payment or imprisonment filed by the artist Zina against the artist Ahmed Ezz for frozen housing and custody wages at an amount of one million and 761 thousand pounds.

The lawyer of the artist, Zina, submitted a request to the Office for the Settlement of Family Disputes in the Nasr City Family Court, bearing No. 1215 of 2023, which is a lawsuit for payment or imprisonment, and he demanded that Ahmed Ezz be obligated to pay a frozen housing and custody fee of one million and 761 thousand pounds.
