83.6 million passengers are expected to pass through Dubai International Airport by the end of 2023

Dubai – Mubasher: OAG International, which provides data for airports and airlines, said that Dubai International Airport is the fastest growing in the list of the 20 largest airports in the world.

According to the Corporation’s data, Dubai International Airport ranked first as the largest air transport hub in the world in terms of scheduled seat capacity on outgoing international flights.

She explained that the airport recorded the highest growth in terms of capacity, by 39.2 percent, during May of this year, compared to the same month of 2019.

OAG raised its forecast for passenger traffic during the year 2023 as a whole to 83.6 million passengers.

Air carriers operating at Dubai Airport added more than 225,000 scheduled seats to their flights during May 2023, compared to last April, and about 1.23 million seats on an annual basis in this May.

The total scheduled seat capacity for air carriers operating at Dubai International Airport reached about 4.7 million seats this May, compared to 4.48 million seats last April.

The air carriers at Dubai Airport provided flights to more than 234 destinations through 89 international airlines in 99 countries by the end of the first quarter of this year.

Dubai International Airport received 21.256 million passengers during the first quarter of this year, an increase of 55.8 percent, compared to the same quarter of last year.
