The Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade continues to receive local wheat from farmers, as it has received more than 2 million tons of local wheat nationwide, since the start of the local wheat harvest season until now, and wheat is received for the benefit of the Supply Commodities Authority at a price of 1500 pounds per ardab weighing 150 kilograms and grade A cleanliness of 23.5 carats, and a price of 1475 pounds for a robe with a degree of cleanliness of 23 carats, and 1450 pounds for a robe with a degree of cleanliness of 22.5 pounds, for all locally grown varieties, provided that they are free from insect infestation, sand and gravel, and with a degree of cleanliness of not less than 22.5 carats.
Dr. Ali Al-Moselhy, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, directed the directors of the directorates to facilitate wheat supply operations, overcome all obstacles facing farmers and suppliers to supply local wheat, and send data of all quantities supplied to the central operations room of the ministry, and daily campaigns are conducted on feed factories and fish farms. The controls also included a ban on the owners of feed factories and those responsible for managing them from using local wheat, whether on its own or mixed with hay, grains, or any other materials in the feed ingredients. Owners of fish farms and those responsible for managing them are prohibited from using local wheat or possessing it for use. Owners of the private sector producing free flour and those responsible for its management must manage their needs of imported wheat, and they are prohibited from using local wheat during the marketing season except with a permit. from the Ministry of Supply.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade set many controls regarding the exchange and prices of “coarse” bran and a mixture of appendages for ration mills working in the production of flour extraction 87.5%, and mills producing fine flour 72% that obtain quantities of imported wheat through the stock exchange. Egyptian Commodities, and the text of the decision stated that the farmers who supplied local wheat from the beginning of the season “4/1/2023” are disbursed 10 kilograms of “coarse bran, a mixture of appendages” from the ration mills for each Irdeb of local wheat 2023 that was supplied to Storage sites belonging to the marketing authorities, and in the case of supply by the farmer or trader, a scanned copy of a supply receipt approved by the Receiving Committee indicating the “quantities and place of supply” is presented to the Supply Department in whose jurisdiction the agricultural possession is located.
