Amman – The national karate player, Abdullah Hammad (under 60 kg), qualified for the quarter-finals in the second round of the World League Championship held in the Moroccan capital, Rabat.
Hammad topped his group after achieving 3 consecutive victories, as he beat Romanian player Florent Gogolosi 4-0, Italian Luigi Bisasha 4-0, and Chilean Justin Arci Dunga 3-0.
The national team player, Olympic Abdulrahman Musafa (under 67 kg), topped his group and qualified for the quarter-finals, after achieving 3 victories as well, over Chilean player Philucho Camilo 10-0, Saudi Fahd Al-Khathami 8-0 and Swiss Noah Bizino 8-0.
According to the championship program, the final rounds for the 60 and 67 kg weights will be held tomorrow, Sunday.
The championship fights will resume today, as the national team player Mahmoud Al-Sajjan (over 84 kg) will meet the Kazakh Toltai Abelaya and the Egyptian Mohamed Hazem, and Mohamed Al-Jaafari (under 84 kg) will meet with the French Abdel Salim Rybak, the Moroccan Mahdi Sriti and the Ukrainian Tsymbal Constantine.
And the national team player Lin Mansour (55 kg) lost yesterday in the first match against the Italian Anita Patsalia 0-2, and the Ukrainian Ter Liwiga 0-4, to finish third in her group.
