Trump neglected to mention his wife’s name in a post on Mother’s Day

Activists considered former US President Donald Trump “heartless” because he did not mention the name of his wife, Melania Trump, who is the mother of his youngest son, Barron, in the post he posted on his “Truth Social” website on the occasion of Mother’s Day. Instead of mentioning his wife, the former president spoke of the mothers of “extreme left-wing fascists.”

Trump said on his website, “Happy Mother’s Day to everyone, especially the mothers, wives, and friends of the radical left-wing fascists, Marxists, and communists, who are doing everything within their power to destroy and obliterate our once great country.” Trump continued, “Please make this sheer madness kinder.” And softer, and most of all smarter, and then we can make America great again.”

People on Twitter described the post as “sad” and criticized Trump for not using the occasion to talk about his family during the Mother’s Day holiday, wishing his wife a Merry Christmas and beautiful days.

And one of the people wrote a tweet saying, “Trump wishes (literally) those who hate him and consider them his enemies a happy birthday, but he forgot to mention his wife and the mother of his young son, Barron.”

Another said, “It’s so sad and infuriating that Trump couldn’t wish a simple, happy Mother’s Day and well wishes.” And that’s all that is required of him. A third person said, “Trump didn’t wish a happy Mother’s Day to any of his wives. He’s heartless.”

Trump has been married three times. He separated from his wife, Ivana Trump, in 1990, and was the mother of Trump’s three children, Eric, Donald Trump Jr., and Ivanka.

After that, he married Marla and had a daughter, Tiffany, with her, but he divorced her in 1999, and then he married his current wife, Melania, 18 years ago, that is, in 2005, with whom he had his son Barron.

But others on Twitter were quick to defend Trump, saying the former president may have celebrated Mother’s Day at home privately with his family. One of them said, “It is not an important matter, as it relates to the affairs of Trump himself, not others,” while another said, “Melania was not upset that she was not mentioned. I am sure of that.

A third person said, “Trump may have expressed his appreciation to his wife, Melania, on another occasion.”

But another person said, “I am not a politician, and I do not know their personal lives, but it is strange that former President Barack Obama took advantage of this opportunity to express his appreciation to his wife on Mother’s Day, while Trump did not mention her at all. I think it says a lot about their personalities.”

Obama, in a social media post last weekend, took the moment to pay tribute to his wife, Michelle Obama, the mother of his two daughters, Malia and Sasha. The former president wrote, “Happy Mother’s Day. I hope at this moment to express my appreciation to all mothers, and the high ideals that the mother embodies.” Obama added, “To Michelle Obama: Thank you for being such an amazing mother to our two beautiful girls. And she set a very fine example for all of us.”

In addition, Obama posted a picture of Michelle and his two daughters, as well as a picture of Michelle’s mother, Marian Shields-Robinson.

Instead of mentioning his wife, the former president spoke of the mothers of “extreme left-wing fascists.”

Obama: I wish at this moment to express my appreciation to all mothers, and the ideals that mothers embody.
