Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp praised the Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, the top scorer of the Reds, before facing Leicester City at the latter’s “King Power” stadium next Monday in the English Premier League.
“His career will be absolutely great when he finishes his career, but he still has at least a few good years in which he can perform well, and he will certainly continue to break records,” Klopp said during the match’s press conference.
He added, “Roberto Firmino will miss Monday’s match against Leicester, but he is likely to return to team training after the match.”
-And about the possibility of qualifying for the Champions League, he commented: “Miracles happen. Despite that season, things were in our hands. Now we have to win, but perhaps nothing will change! Weeks ago, the Champions League was completely out of sight, but we came close.”
-And he continued: “We had a really bad season, I think everyone agrees, but now we have more than 60 points, it is strange that we still have quality!”
And about facing Leicester City: “I saw their game against Everton, they had really good, really good skills! When you are in a relegation battle, we have to expect a team that wants to stay in the league and will fight for everything they have. In my first season here, Leicester won the league, It’s a special story.”
He concluded: “This period is very important to show how we can play next season.”
Liverpool ranks fifth in the English Premier League table with 62 points, one point behind fourth-placed Manchester United.
