Motorola seems to have a whole bunch of foldable phones to release this year. The company has been teasing the launch of its new foldable phone. According to the rumors, the phone will be launched as the Moto RAZR 40 Ultra, but it is not the only one, as the Moto RAZR 40 is also coming. The latter has been the target of leaks recently, and now we have two renders that show a design profile of the Motorola RAZR 40 Ultra.
Motorola RAZR 40 Ultra specifications leaked
The latest batch of offerings comes straight from leaker Evan Blass. They confirm an updated design of the phone as well as some bright color options coming to the phone. The phone maintains the dual camera approach with an LED flash to help out in dark environments. It’s based on a foldable clamshell with a tall display with a punch-hole camera in the middle. The bezels are pretty thin and are clearly a far cry from the past on this foldable series. The phone will adopt a metal frame and we can find out by looking at the antenna lines. The right edge contains the power and volume buttons. The bottom has a USB Type-C port, speaker grille, and two visible microphones.
According to the leaked renders, the Motorola RAZR 40 Ultra will get three color options – Barberry, Black, and Blue. The report also confirms an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2,640 x 1,080 pixels. This contradicts other rumors that 144 Hz or 165 Hz are being used. The phone will have a larger external screen, perhaps the largest in its class. According to the leaks, it will be around 3.4 to 3.6 inches in size.

Despite all the specs, the phone will only feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Don’t get me wrong, while this CPU is still powerful, it fails to compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 on the Vivo X Fold2 and the upcoming Z Flip5. Therefore, the Motorola RAZR 40 Ultra will be in the same area as the Oppo Find N2 Flip. Alongside the chipset, the Geekbench listing also confirmed 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone will bring in 3,640mAh which is pretty good for this form factor. The phone will have a 12MP Sony IMX563 camera and a 13MP SK Hynix Hi1336 ultrawide camera. For selfies and video calls, the phone will have a 32MP camera.
The phone is expected to be launched very soon as Motorola continues to release teasers to promote it.
