The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Egyptian Zamalek, Mortada Mansour, confirmed that his club is on the verge of what he described as a “sports disaster”, and he also said that a complaint will be filed with the International Football Association “FIFA” and the International Sports Arbitration Court “Cass” against the Egyptian Federation and Al-Ahly Club.
Mortada Mansour said in a press conference: “I have prepared several files that will be sent to FIFA and the International Sports Court against the Egyptian Football Association and Al-Ahly Club.”
And he added, “The first file is the government intervention from the Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhi, by dissolving the board of directors of Zamalek in 2020, and the second file is racism and bullying against some of the team’s players, such as Mahmoud Abdel Razek Shikabala, and the third file is Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Kahraba, the Al-Ahly player.”
He explained that the regulations and laws must be respected and applied to everyone, noting that Kahraba was suspended internationally and locally and participated in the Smouha meeting after the suspension, and that the Disciplinary Committee has a regulation stipulating that its decisions are implemented immediately after their issuance.
And the president of Zamalek continued: “I started by myself and refused to travel as head of the Zamalek mission, which was going to the Emirates, due to respect for the decisions of the Disciplinary Committee.”
And he stressed that when he resorted to the administrative judiciary in the registration crisis, he was suing the Minister of Youth and Sports and removed the Football Association from the lawsuit.
