Paris Saint-Germain coach Christophe Galtier confirmed that Argentine Lionel Messi will start with the team in the upcoming match against Ajaccio in the French League.
Paris Saint-Germain recently punished Messi by excluding him for two weeks from participating in training and matches, with a deduction from his salary, on the grounds that he traveled to Saudi Arabia without obtaining permission from the club.
The Argentine star apologized to the Paris Saint-Germain management and his teammates last week, after which he returned to the team’s training.
“I spoke with Leo yesterday, he is excited to play and seems determined to win a new title,” Galtier said in the press conference before facing Ajaccio in the 35th round of the French League.
He added, “Messi will start tomorrow against Ajaccio. I do not comment on the penalty decision. We happily welcomed his return to training.”
The French coach concluded his remarks, saying: “Messi trained over the past week and has a great desire to play.”
-It is worth noting that Paris Saint-Germain is close to winning the French League title this season, as it occupies the top of the standings with 78 points, 6 points ahead of Lance, its closest pursuer, 4 rounds before the end of the season.
-Messi, 35, participated in 37 matches with Paris Saint-Germain this season in various competitions, during which he scored 20 goals and assisted 19.
