Major General Khaled Abdel Aal, Governor of Cairo, witnessed the first introductory meeting that took place within the framework of the ongoing preparations for holding the second conference on application applications. The conference was attended by Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health Affairs and Chairman of the Conference, Major General Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai and Honorary President of the Conference, Governors of Marsa Matrouh, Fayoum, and Aswan, and deputies of a number of governors whose province is famous for the presence of medical tourism, and the mayor of Heves in Hungary, and a number Officials from the Ministries of Health and Tourism.

Major General Khaled Abdel-Al, Governor of Cairo, referred to the development of the tourism sector in Egypt and the prosperity of many promising fields, including health tourism in particular, pointing out that this is a strategic option for the advancement of the national economy, especially in light of the presence of national momentum, and multiple pioneering initiatives of the political leadership within the framework of The comprehensive construction of the new republic, one of whose main objectives is the improvement of all services in the Egyptian state.

The Governor of Cairo stressed that placing Egypt on the medical tourism map is an achievement of one of the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030, because Egypt has various natural sites related to health tourism, in addition to specialized medical personnel, and various health capabilities that are provided with competitive quality at the global level, continuing: What reinforces this is that we are making great strides towards seeking the results and recommendations of the first conference after their implementation, overcoming obstacles and facilitating the necessary procedures for establishing a successful integrated system in addition to targeted global marketing, because we already have distinct elements in this regard.

Cairo Governor added that the capital is proud of what it has witnessed over the past nine years of a comprehensive renaissance to make it a modern, modern capital after getting rid of chronic problems, such as slums and traffic jams, through the expansion of building new communities, roads and axes.

And the quality of private medical services in many hospitals by raising the efficiency of existing hospitals or encouraging investment in the health sector to establish health resorts, which represents a quantum leap in this field.

The Governor of Cairo emphasized that: For example, but not limited to, we believe that it is time to launch efforts to develop the areas of traditional hospitalization with sulfur water in Helwan in an effort to restore its position as a global tourist hospital health destination on modern international bases, hoping that it will be integrated after its development into the hospital tourism programs in Egypt in general.

The Governor of Cairo concluded: In our endeavor to develop the field of health tourism, we proceed from an advanced point that requires knowledge and study of the determinants of global demand and increase its current rates. on the world tourist map in general.
