Mbabane – Eswatini, May 13, WAM/ Dr. Adnan Hamad Al Hammadi, Member of the Federal National Council, met with Emmanuel Senzo Higera, President of the Senate of the Republic of Burundi, on the sidelines of the participation of the UAE Parliamentary Division in the tenth consultative meeting of the Association of Senates, Shura Councils and Equivalent Councils in Africa. The Arab World, held in the Kingdom of Eswatini.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of Burundi and advance them to broader horizons in various fields, especially trade and investment. The mechanism of activating parliamentary cooperation between the two friendly councils to support issues of common interest in regional and international parliamentary participations was also discussed.

His Excellency Al Hammadi pointed out the importance of benefiting from the economic and investment opportunities available in the UAE, as it is characterized by strategic relations and a global commercial climate.

He stressed the need to strengthen parliamentary communication and cooperation between the Arab and African parliaments, through the exchange of experiences and parliamentary visits, which will reflect positively on the consolidation of African and Arab relations to achieve prosperity, prosperity and development for all peoples of the region.

For his part, the President of the Senate of the Republic of Burundi stressed the importance of strengthening relations between the Senate and the Federal National Council, exchanging experiences and parliamentary visits between the two chambers and developing relations in all fields.
