This came during her participation in the second session of a salon organized by the Coordination of Youth Parties and Politicians, on issues of the societal axis in the national dialogue “Commandments on Money and Identity”.

And Sharaf El-Din continued: “I disagree with saying that identity is targeted and we are exposed to aggression all the time. This causes us weakness and we must be strong in the face of targeting, especially internal targeting first, and we must attack any threat to the Egyptian identity.”

She added: “We fall short in preserving, and we must review religion and history books that contain many inaccuracies so that we can strengthen ourselves, and reviewing history books will strengthen the child’s personality and change his old idea of identity, and the invasions that those books talk about must be excluded so that we do not plant an idea We are being targeted all the time inside a child’s mind.”

She indicated that the educational system as a whole must be reviewed in order for identity to be entrenched within children and youth, and cultural identity must be reviewed after most of the tools for preserving identity have disappeared, such as the disappearance of theaters and cultural programs that were previously shown on television, and what the media presents must be reviewed, she continued: ” And I emphasize this point, we must strengthen children’s programs in all channels, as well as pay attention to youth programs, which have decreased in the recent period.

The head of the Culture, Media and Antiquities Committee in the House of Representatives stressed that media, culture and education must be improved by talking about the future and that there is a link between the past and the future, and we do not talk about the past. Rather, we build the present and the future.

Sharaf El-Din recommended the need for a different program to preserve identity so that the foundations of identity, which are education, culture and media, are not eroded, and that we develop educational curricula to keep pace with the modern era, and monitor what the media presents, so the media must be at a distinguished level, and we must update our culture about By using the available new messages, because only caring about the palaces of culture that has transcended time will not help in preserving the cultural identity, and in the end all the squares of Cairo must be illuminated to improve the country’s image and be proud of it.
