Saudi Green Initiative

It discusses initiatives, ambitious plans and achievements related to the development, protection and sustainability of forests within the framework of the Saudi Green Initiative.

The center focused in the forum on improving vegetation cover for environmental purposes through the Saudi Green Initiative.

Planting 60 million trees

The forum dealt with the center’s adoption of the initiative to plant 60 million trees and rehabilitate 300,000 hectares of forest lands and valleys.

In addition to the implementation of the national forest strategy and programs and projects implemented in the field of forests.

It was also discussed that Saudi Arabia will host the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification at the end of 2024.
