Emirates News Agency – “Shams Energy” renews its sponsorship of the “Al Wathba” cycling team

ABU DHABI, 12th May, 2020 (WAM) — Shams Energy has announced the renewal of the sponsorship contract for the “Al Wathba Community” cycling team.
The sponsorship agreement, which was signed at the Shams solar power plant in Madinat Zayed in Al Dhafra Region, is the second of its kind between the two parties.
The signing of the agreement was attended by Majid Abdul Rahim Al-Awadi, General Manager, and Ali Al-Masabi, Director of the “Shams Energy” station, and from the management of the Al-Wathba team, Muhammad Sanad Al-Qubaisi, Vice President of the Cycling Federation, Suleiman Al-Hammadi, and Nayef Al-Marzouqi, team captain, in addition to Hussein Al-Hammadi, Hazza Al-Hassani, and Omar Khairy.
The agreement includes Shams Energy providing two Peugeot cars to the Al Wathba Abbara team, a mobile workshop that uses technical support for the team during its participation in races and community events, as well as group exercises.
Majid Abdul Rahim Al-Awadhi said that the company adopts these initiatives based on its societal role, by spreading awareness of the importance of sport and beneficial healthy habits, in line with the vision of rational leadership, especially since “Al Wathba Bikes” is one of the distinguished community teams that includes good elements from the Al Dhafra region. and the various emirates of the country.
