Nasrallah: Can anyone approach the events in Lebanon in isolation from the events in the region?

NNA – Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, began his speech on the anniversary of the death of the party’s leader, Mustafa Badreddine, by directing “blessings and condolences to the Palestinian people, the resistance factions, and in particular the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, for the martyred leaders who were martyred in these days.” .

He said, “There is a problem in Lebanon in terms of what afflicts some, from narrow-mindedness, narrow calculations, separation from reality, and denial of developments.”

And he pointed out that “the aggression against Gaza was initiated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in order to assassinate the leaders of the Al-Quds Brigades,” and he regretted “the continued global silence, and the United States of America prevented the UN Security Council from issuing a statement condemning Israel for killing women and children in Gaza,” noting that “Netanyahu’s motives for the battle are to restore deterrence that has eroded, to escape from the internal division, to deal with the disintegration of his government coalition, and to improve his political and electoral status. Netanyahu’s calculations were a failure, as the decision was to single out the Islamic Jihad movement, neutralize the rest of the factions, and cause strife in the environment of the resistance.”

He continued: “Despite all the assassinations of its leaders, the resistance movements did not weaken and their capabilities did not weaken. Rather, this pure blood gave impetus to progress, and one of the strengths of the resistance movements in Palestine and the region is that they have a high ability to quickly restore their leadership structure. There is calm and wisdom in managing the battle that is missed.” The enemy achieved any of its goals, and the enemy was waiting for a reaction from the Islamic Jihad Movement. When the faction leadership calmly resorted, the enemy was disturbed. The leadership of the Islamic Jihad Movement dealt wisely and calmly after the assassination of the leaders in the Al-Quds Brigades, and it communicated with the leadership of the Al-Qassam Brigades so that the position would be unified.

He said, “The occupation sought to strike the leadership structure of the Al-Quds Brigades and destroy its missile force by dismantling its direct leadership.”
