The UAE continues to support the Sudanese people, after the crisis in which it has deteriorated, by operating relief and aid planes and evacuating Sudanese and foreigners wishing to leave.
A member of the Federal National Council, Somaya Al-Suwaidi, said via 24, that the dispatch of medical and relief supplies, under the guidance of the wise leadership, highlights its concern for the Sudanese brothers from all walks of life.
The parliamentarian mentioned the arrival of at least two planes with humanitarian aid to Port Sudan airport, and another to the border with Chad, to help the displaced and refugees who fled from conflict areas.
She added that the air bridge confirms the UAE’s endeavor to alleviate the suffering of civilians, especially the most needy, such as the sick, children, the elderly, and women.
-It is noteworthy that since the beginning of the crisis, the UAE has sent more than 240 tons of medical and food supplies and aid, and has evacuated 744 citizens, foreigners, diplomats, journalists, and Sudanese, in addition to various humanitarian cases to the Emirates.
While the leadership in the UAE directed to support the Sudanese stranded in the country, who could not travel to their country, on the one hand, and to raise the pace of sending various aids from the warehouses of international organizations in the Dubai International Humanitarian City.
In turn, the deputy head of the Sudanese community in Sharjah, Counselor Mortada Al-Fateh Al-Zailai, told 24.24 that the air bridge that the UAE ran to Sudan, in addition to helping and supporting the Sudanese stranded in the country, after closing the airspace, confirms the UAE’s keenness to extend a helping hand and relief to those affected by the crises. and to alleviate humanitarian crises.
