Artist George Wassouf announced, through his official account on Instagram, that he joined the stars of the Arab world who will perform the evenings of the “Mediterranean Cruise” or the Middle East cruise, which runs from 22 to 27 August next, and which sails from the port of Athens in Greece and crosses the island of Rhodes. Heading to Bodrum and Marmaris in Turkey, anchored at sea for a full day, then returning to where it set off from the port of Athens. The artist’s audience interacted when he published the promotional poster for the artistic journey, welcoming him to join it.
Al-Wasouf’s participation in the tourist trip constitutes his gradual return to artistic life after the departure of his son Wadih, as he had performed a concert at the Dubai Opera House in the United Arab Emirates in the presence of a huge audience who accompanied him with singing and chanted throughout the ceremony, repeating “Abu Wadih”.
The artist, George Wassouf, had recently intensified his media appearances, so he appeared with the journalist Suhair Al-Qaisi on her program “Suhair Show”, launching a series of positions, the most prominent of which was his relationship with the Iraqi artist Kazem Al-Saher. And his global reach, denying that the Iraqi artist had contacted him to check on him.
In another interview via ET in Arabic, Al-Wasouf revealed a new song, “Liar”, which he is working on completing and releasing very soon, noting that his last work, entitled “The Text of My Life”, was released on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the passing of his eldest son, Wadih.
