The Lebanese artist, Charles Makris, was a guest on The Stage program on the LBCI screen, in an episode honoring the late composer Philemon Wehbe, singing the song “Kalashnikov”, in which the great composer became famous decades ago. Makris performed the popular song that was popular during the Lebanese war in his own way within a dance painting in a spontaneous theatrical form, inspired by the funny character of Filmon Wehbe, and adding to it his own, who is famous for his dance designs. The musical “sketch” presented by Makris, which was distinguished by his tribute to the late honoree, won the admiration of the viewers of the small screen and the audience present on “The Stage”, who interacted with the show, applauding and singing. It is worth noting that Makris had renewed the song “Kalashnikov” in 2021 through a video clip that he dedicated to the soul of the late Philemon Wehbe.
On the other hand, Makris excited his fans on his Instagram page by showing a silent video while he was in the studio, which aroused the curiosity of his followers to know the identity of the artwork. In exclusive information for “Brankh” website, we learned that Makris entered the studio to put the final touches on his new song, which is inspired by a folkloric melody, written by Maroun Adolf, and arranged and recorded by Marc Abdel Nour.
And the young artist had previously participated during the last Ramadan in a special advertisement for one of the major telecommunications companies, entitled “Psychological Tremors”, in which the Syrian actor Basil Khayyat and the Lebanese actress Razan Jamal appeared as a remarkable duo after they starred together in the series “The Price”.
