The General Directorate of Passports has set the conditions and procedures for citizens to travel abroad, as it set the requirement to obtain a Corona vaccine as one of the necessary conditions before traveling abroad.
Conditions for traveling abroad
The General Directorate of Passports clarified the requirements for citizens to travel outside the Kingdom, including the necessary number of doses of the Corona vaccine before travel, as it indicated that before traveling, it must be ensured that the remaining period in the passport is not less than 3 months when traveling to Arab countries, and not less than 6. months when traveling to other countries.
The conditions also include that more than 3 months remain before the expiration date of the national identity when traveling to the Arab Gulf countries, explaining that the national identity in Absher or Tawakkulna does not enable the citizen to travel outside the Kingdom, and the original card must be brought.
Passports confirmed that the family record is a document of proof for dependents inside the Kingdom and does not enable its bearer to travel to the Arab Gulf countries, and that the national identity is a mandatory requirement for issuing or renewing a passport for dependents of 10 years or more.
The Jawazat said that whoever has a passport valid for 3 months for Arab countries and 6 months for the rest of the countries, can travel outside the Kingdom without the need to register vital characteristics in the automated systems.
Regarding the number of doses of the Corona vaccine, the passports indicated that it is required to receive three doses of the Corona vaccine, or if no more than eight months have passed since receiving the second dose, with the exception of the age groups that are determined by the Ministry of Health or excluded according to what their health condition appears in the Tawakkalna application. .
As for the age group from (12) to (16) years, two doses of Corona vaccine are required.
