
Ammon – Jordanians are anticipating two long holidays during the next two weeks (the end of May and the beginning of June), as each holiday extends for about 3 consecutive days.
Next May 25 marks a holiday on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as the Gregorian calendar indicates that the same date falls on Thursday, followed by Friday and Saturday (weekend).
And while the date of the second holiday falls on Thursday, next June 1 (an official holiday) on the occasion of the marriage of His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince, to Ms. Ragwa Khaled Al Saif, while the next June 2 and 3 falls on Friday and Saturday (weekend days ).
-According to the Prime Minister’s statement, the working hours of all ministries and official departments, public institutions and bodies, official universities, municipalities, joint services councils, the Greater Amman Municipality, and companies wholly owned by the government will end on Wednesday, May 31, at 1:00 p.m.
Thus, it is expected that Jordanians will have a vacation that extends to 3 days, and the official working hours of the previous day will end early in celebration of the marriage of the Crown Prince.
