Haitham Al-Haj Ali is an Assistant Professor of Modern Arabic Literature and Criticism at the Faculty of Arts, Helwan University, and former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian General Book Organization at the Ministry of Culture. Haitham Al-Haj Ali obtained several scientific certificates, most notably a PhD in Literary Studies, Department of Arabic Language, Faculty of Arts, Helwan University, 2005. , entitled “Mechanisms of Building Time in the Egyptian Short Story in the Sixties”, with first class honors, and MA in Literary Studies 1999, entitled “Techniques of Experimentation in the Short Story of Youssef El-Sharouni”, with excellent grade.
